Begin with a safety briefing and gear distribution. Guides will provide basic instructions on paddling techniques and river safety.

Head to the starting point on the river, enjoying scenic views of the region’s lush landscapes along the way.

Once on the river, kick off the adventure by paddling through class II and III rapids—an ideal balance of excitement and safety. Led by expert guides, the group will tackle each rapid together.

In the calmer sections, take the opportunity to admire the area’s biodiversity, with sightings of sloths, toucans, iguanas, and other wildlife along the river.

Pause halfway for a refreshing snack of tropical fruits, perfect for recharging before continuing the adventure.

After finishing the river descent, return to La Fortuna, with a delicious traditional Costa Rican meal at a local restaurant to end the day.
